Duwamish alive

Join community volunteers at BECU campus at the Green River Trail head to help clean up the Duwamish River shoreline. The next event will be held April 20th 2013. This is part of a challenge to help create a greener, better river for everyone! Click here for more information and where to sign up!

Annual Give Big Day

Help support local South Park non-profits and all the great programs they offer.

How does GiveBIG work? All donations made to SPARC through The Seattle Foundation’s website on GiveBIG day will receive a pro-rated portion of a $500,000 matching funds (or “stretch”) pool. The amount of the “stretch” depends on how much is raised in total donations on GiveBIG day.

South Park Putts Out: Night Out Against Crime

The neighborhood is transformed into a mini-golf course by local neighborhood artists. Celebrate a Night Out Against Crime with food, music, and mini-golf!

African KnightDuwamish River Festival / Festival del Río Duwamish

Each year we enjoy music, food, kids’ activities, interactive booths with information about Duwamish environmental issues, kayak and boat rides and bicycle repair workshops and more!  Don’t miss the chance to celebrate the diverse communities that live along the Duwamish. The festival is FREE and is held at the Duwamish Waterway Park (7900 10th Ave. S) usually the last Saturday of August.

Fiestas Patrias

The annual Fiestas Patrias celebration reminds us that the spirit of freedom is indomitable and helps maintain a bond between Latinos in the Northwest and their home countries throughout the Americas.

Outdoor Movie at Marra Farm

Every year, Lettuce Link hosts a farm tour and outdoor movie at our Marra Farm Giving Garden. Marra Farm is a model urban community farm engaging people in sustainable agriculture and education while enhancing local food security in South Park. Bring the whole family for a fun summer evening at the Marra Farm Movies.

Marra Farm Fall Festival

The Marra Farm Festival is a harvest celebration for the whole community! Everyone is invited for an afternoon of healthy, outdoor fun with fresh food, games, and farm tours. 4th Saturday in September.
