Announcements: EIS Update for the new proposed jail site. The schedule for the release of the draft EIS has been revised:
– The draft EIS will be issued during the second quarter of 2010.
– The draft EIS public meetings will be held during the second quarter of 2010.
– The final EIS will be issued during the third quarter of 2010.
George Blomberg from the Port of Seattle is working on getting the locked gate near the 8th Ave. S. public access park by the River unlocked. Thanks to Ahlyshawndra for the heads up about the problem. There has been vandalism of the signs at the park twice. Port is considering how to replace them for the third time so they are less easily damaged. SPD has been alerted.
King County Sheriff Deputy, Gerald Meyer – got a call before he was supposed to attend last month’s meeting and so is planning on coming to next week’s meeting.
